But while waiting for that important stuff to arrive I have collected a few parts to install on the car and I’ll continue on another few jobs that need to be done.

All vehicles in Japan are require to carry a safety flare but it is removed before transporting the cars to Australia or when going thru the compliance process in Australia. I’m not sure which. So I had to replace it with the deluxe model safety flare which also has a window smashing spike on its base.

Where abouts did you get the flare from? I've been seraching for one for my Spec C..

Cheers

Thanks guys. As always I much appreciate your interest or feedback on my cars, even though they sometimes aren't Subarus.

It took a long time to find a good TME as they are rare now, especially in red. The red ones hardly every come up for sale so when they do they fetch 2 to 4 times the price of other colours as especially if they still have the factory decal kit. The factory compliance plate shows the car's original colour and if it came with the TME decals from the factory.

Its really hard to find a rust free TME nowadays and there's people in the UK spending a fortune on trying to rescue them from salty road corrosion that has almost kill their car.

@Mantis I grabbed a couple of extra flares from the Parramatta Rd car importer that I bought my daily from over 4 years ago. They come in at least two sizes and some come with the window smashing spike.

Last night... I had this Ralliart panel filter sitting on my shelf which I had used briefly in my Evo IX sedan and thought I would try it out in the TME. It fits and blings up the engine bay with a little Ralliart goodness. Not sure if it's filtration ability is as good as a K&N or paper filter though.
