Glad to hear you got it out there mate!

Hard to go fast when you loose confidence in the middle pedal.... Tell me about it, I still battle with the 'will they work this time' thoughts......

Yeah, we'll so how things develop once the rotors are checked out. I removed them last night and all the hardware looked okay, so the stock rotors are back on and I'll go for a drive tomorrow night.

I have a hill climb on the 25th, so if things go well there that will help the confidence.

EDIT: So both the rotors were out by about 5 thou. Not enough to bother you at low speeds but enough when you're hard on the brakes from well over the highway limit. They took 4 thou off, so they will be run back in with the ebc yellows after the hill climb next weekend.

Nice upgrades mate.
Exhaust and tune look good.
Are the 5000 series rotors off the bug? Easy fix in the end and nice to have sorted that little gremlin out, but would have been unnerving at the time.
What battery did you get.....my Odyssey battery finally died.

Cheers. Yes, the same hats but new rings. The guy I had do the work said that because they are fixed two piece the interface can be a little off, if they were floating there probably wouldn't have been an issue continually re-using them. I may move to floating rotors when these wear out.

Ended up with a Braille B14115. Not super light but I could get it with a clamp that would work, then dodge/fabbed the bracket for the catch can using bits and pieces from bunnings.

I had a little fun at the Creek on the weekend. Nothing to shout too loud about, but it was a trouble free day.

Just a bit of suspension compression under brakes.

Thanks and yes, traction kit fitted.

The (supercharged and MCA red equipped) 86 that runs as well showed a lot better body control through that section (less dive and flatter at the turn 4/5 flip flop) from the pics my mate took, so I'm looking forward to when I have some coil overs fitted.

You get a time vs your first ever run at EC in the bug?
