Cracked 1000km yet? I've been looking at these a little and all the talk about tuning out the torque hole........ then i found the harrop blower. What a nice factory looking pice of kit. Its not what your chasing as a track car but hmm nice bit of kit for a streeter.

Just have to wait until my low km gt goes up in value so i can buy one lol.

I'll be getting past 2000 km's this weekend (1 month in).

Last weekend my car club (the MG one) had a concours, so I thought I may as well go along and socialise. The day before I'd fitted the DBA rotors and new pads, so I thought I'd see how the BBS wheels looked.

If I want to run them as an optional track wheel I may have to fit longer wheel studs, I wasn't happy with the amount of thread left for the wheel nuts with a 5mm spacer fitted (to bring the +53 wheels back out to the stock +48). The pic is without the spacers.

The car also has tint now. 35% on the sides and 5% for the strip on the windscreen.

If you're wondering about the yellow car in the background, follow the link and scroll down to number 11.

Looks killer Bob.

Are the rims 5x100?

Today I confirmed the car is pretty good on a long trip even though a little impractical. 1200 km"s in around 12 hours averaging 7l/100km. Now up to 3800 km's and the engine is loosening up nicely.

Okay, so I've done a little bit to the car.

The inlet snorkel thingo has been replaced with a better flowing pipe.
I tried a replacement pipe from the airbox to the throttle body but it wasn't a good fit so retained the stock item.
The stock radiator was replaced with Koyorad, plus the separate fill point (stock is plastic, replacement Koyo item is aluminium and has a sensor port built in.
Trackart harness bar fitted.

I even test fitted the 17x9 CE28's (finally). The poke about 5 mm front and rear, so should be okay with some camber and lowering will help a little too.

The car was due to go to Pulse Racing last Tuesday, but this was delayed to last Friday (12th Jan) for full exhaust replacement and flex tune. I'll be picking it up at the end of next week.

How do you go for room in the cabin Bob? As I recall, you aren't the smallest guy around :D

True, Adam, it is a bit of a sardine can for me but while I was fitting the harness bar I found I could possibly sleep in it if I had to (not in the front seats but most of me in the back).

Luckily I don't get claustrophobic.
