Will be interesting to watch this all come together. Great platform to start with for a weekend race car.

700km in..... whats your thoughts?

Trip to fulcrum and an aggressive wheel alignment soon? Bit weird they dont come factory with castor adjustment. Suppose thats a budget thing and left it to the aftermarket boys.

No camber adjustment either. For starters just fitting hats and camber bolts up front, get a handle on how the chassis reacts then go coil overs later next year.

Getting the car run in so I can get the torque hole removed is at the top of the list. I'm on a self imposed 4500 rpm rev limit til I hit 1000 km's, so I'm only pointing it at corners right now, not ringing it's neck expecting performance.

Last weekend my car club (the MG one) had a concours, so I thought I may as well go along and socialise. The day before I'd fitted the DBA rotors and new pads, so I thought I'd see how the BBS wheels looked.

Image

If I want to run them as an optional track wheel I may have to fit longer wheel studs, I wasn't happy with the amount of thread left for the wheel nuts with a 5mm spacer fitted (to bring the +53 wheels back out to the stock +48). The pic is without the spacers.

The car also has tint now. 35% on the sides and 5% for the strip on the windscreen.

If you're wondering about the yellow car in the background, follow the link and scroll down to number 11.

Cracked 1000km yet? I've been looking at these a little and all the talk about tuning out the torque hole........ then i found the harrop blower. What a nice factory looking pice of kit. Its not what your chasing as a track car but hmm nice bit of kit for a streeter.

Just have to wait until my low km gt goes up in value so i can buy one lol.
