What a crap day to go to get some track training. :?

The little Pretzel didn't have much more in her (she had the smallest tyres, and the smallest engine for the day); but, for a little shopping trolley, she does a pretty reasonable job. The little 205 Nitto tyres simply weren't up to the test of being pushed hard in wet conditions. I had to work much harder than the footage looks, and I still see that I have an old habit of turning in a bit too soon.

Some epic saves were the calling for the day!

This was the driest the conditions were, all day (with some patchy bits still remaining):

Thiiiiis, was farken hard work. Following the instructor for a short period (showing us the required line, in his GT86), then it bucketed down!!! See what the patches of water do to the steering (especially the patch at the high speed exit to turn 3, at 7:35mins in the footage):  Hmm, new jocks?

Overall, I found that 32psi front, 34psi rear, were pretty good tyre pressures to run. However, at first, I ran the dampers way too tight. I had them quite tight at first, but then wound them down to 4 of 16 clicks, front and rear, and found that that gave the car a much more settled feel.

Dirt day next weekend. 8-)

VERY nice save

Nice work. It's a bummer when it buckets down. Suspension softer, sways softer, tyre pressures up and don't worry too much about making the apex.

Turning in early is common and not too much of an issue in a Subie that tends to understeer in the first place.
