Did a Winton Test & tune day yesterday and its fair to say I've sorted the car for Sandown & now Winton. Last track to test at will be PI on the 1st of July but I have a sneaking suspicion the car will be much better there than last time ;)

So I took more than a second off my last Winton run, so a monster PB of over a second. This white car is finally coming good! Hard to believe how long its taken to get it sorted but its now well over 2 seconds faster than the silver car @ Winton and that car was no slouch... So yeah I'm really happy that all the time spent on this car is finally paying off! :thumbs:

The two cars are completely different to be honest. This white car is running a long ratio dccd 6 speed where as the silver car was nondccd short ratio 6 speed, STi helical diffs instead of suretrac diffs, white car has no ABS etc but the major differences where the time is would be;

245 tyres compared to 225
1200kg compared to 1290

They're good gains for similar power, even with the extra grip. The car must be very driveable/predicatable?

Yeah it is now.

There'll be more gains than what it has seen so far though, its only the beginning.... Its fast, it feels nice & its not randomly biting me anymore. Its been a learning experience the last 18 months.

PI is in 3 weeks, I cant wait. :thumbs:

Did PI today and the car felt fantastic. Needed a few changes but got it done and then did a 45.1. Previous best was a 48.1 so its fair to say the white car is officially hauling ass.

:D
