Looking at the car with the wing it just didnt look right... So wheels have been sold and some 17x9s put on.... Which finally means Ive put some decent sized tyres on.... Lets see what Wing & 245 A050's can do.....

Winton on Sunday here we come.

Fingers crossed the car does more than 2 laps this time. :dontknow:

Have you done anything about tyre rub? That is wide for a stock bodied GC8.

Winton yesterday.

New PB set of a 1:34.5 which is a second faster than I've ever gone there. The car had issues so didn't get to run in the 2nd or 3rd sessions, which was where my class set their times as it just got to hot after that. Easily 30c by lunch.

So Setting a new PB in that sort of heat shows good things for when its a bit cooler. Previous best in this car was actually a 1:35.9 (in 20c temps) so Ive taken a massive chunk out of that. The car has to much understeer as it sits now so will need to work on that but with all the changes I've made over summer I'm really happy with this cars first real run.

And how is this.... Ended up 3rd in class & 4th outright (out of 60 odd cars). Fair to say I'm in the most competitive class.....

Great work mate! Bummer about the issues, you could have got a better result! You've improved so much, makes me want to go out there and start practicing!

Thanks Pete

And yeah you need to get out on track again!! My times have dropped a bit because this car is now properly setup.. No more compromises... Could use a bit more go but for 210kws its doing ok.

First pic of the weekend I've seen.
