mmmm those 114s and 115s are nice! If i ever have spare cash in the future id love to get a coupe version

ok. so the place that got my first clutch kit couldnt get the specific one when i provided part numbers.

i asked a melb benz parts place (German Star, Reservior) and they said no problemo, $500 + GST, took my VIN and parts numbers.

..turns out the couldnt, and didnt tell me until i rang up after the 6 weeks estimated shipping time had passed. long story short they copped an earfull.

THEN, reordered with MB Spares, in canberra, which i shoulda done in the first place. theyve always been the most reliable for OEM benz parts, but kinda pricey.

so i ended up paying >$800, but the clutch landed in australia last week! should be waiting for me at my parents when im done with uni for the year.

fingers crossed this works, although given my past luck my hopes arent high :P

Yes, get wheels like that man, they look awesome!!
and this may sound like a silly question, but did you put the clutch plate in the right way around?
because a mate of mine put my one in backwards a while ago and wouldnt go into gear or anything!! untill me and the old man swapped it!!

righto...car is all back together...well, mechanically at any rate. interior is still gutted :P had a minor electrical drama, turns out id forgotten how to wire up the starter motor, one of the terminals had to have two wires on it, and i put two wires in the wrong terminal. just turned her over five minutes ago, gonna put some more juice in the battery before i properly try and start her

yeah youre right, those seats can be damn slippery!

you mean the w126 s'class , we had a 61 finnie 220s in the early 90's a w116 280se in late 90's early 2000 and a w126 300sel early 2000 to last year when we sadly departed from it after $7000 rebuilding the engine and other stuff. :(
