took these wheels down to tru wheels in Launceston recently and they said only 1 wheel doesn't need repairs. 3 of the 4 are either buckled or flat spotted and one even has gutter rash on the inside face of the rim (WTF!).

He suggested I have the wheels soda blasted as one of the wheels has been resprayed and wasn't sanded or primed before hand. The paint is coming off in flakes...

I knew there would be issues but it looks like I'm staring down the business end of a $800+ worth of repairs and restoration...

I haven't given them the go ahead yet!

Sorry for the delay it was David at TruWheels. Looks like you have already been there. I have seen the results of his work. Pretty awesome from what I saw.

He has suggested getting the wheels soda blasted before taking them to him. My problem is it seems every business who used to do soda blasting either doesn't do it anymore or has gone out of business.

Pretty sure there's a few places in Hobart that can do it but don't have any trips down planned in the near future...
