ACT Cruise Routes.

We've got some fantastic roads around here so I think we should get together and get out on some more cruises!

I learned about some of these drives from a local evo guy and borrowed his Google Maps links, thanks Gordo.

NOTE: Some of the longer cruises might need you to take a jerry can with your favourite high Octane premium fuel. Good quality 2-Way radios make cruises even more fun.

Feel free to add your favourite ACT/NSW routes to this thread. Using the same format below would be great!

Gordo says: "Sweet jesus those roads are fun: Thredbo - Tom Groggin and Khancoban-Selwyn are pretty absorbing even at 60kph.... I managed from Canberra to the end at Cooma on a tank and 1 x Jerry... only other expense enroute is the National Park entry and camping fee ($20 total I think)."

Done most of those many times. Best to leave some of the Alpine ones until late spring.

I know this is an old thread, but they'd make a great weekend adventure.
Shorter variation of #1 from Tumut to Bondo and Brindabella back to town - would be great for snow hunting this time of year.

Araluen is always a good run and did it regularly with the act mini club. Pub serves good meals and the drive is very spirited down the hill. Another is a trip to harden, Temora and Boorowa via Yass and again a good flat run with lots of scenery. Back road to Canberra from Yass through rugby and spits you out at gunning and back to Canberra via tarago and bungendore. Mis the roads there
