And weight reduction....

Maybe minus 200kgs from stuff i've removed over the years (rough guess with no actual data), but also plus a little bit of kgs back in with 6spd drivetrain conversions. I havent weighed it now or before but id estimate maybe somewhere around 150kgs less.

Im pretty sure i pulled the spare wheel and tools out when i originally ran. And i may have even pulled the back seat out aswell. I know ive done that in the past before i stripped the interior properly. But unsure if id go to that level on my first attempt. So actual wieght difference between now and then may not have been as big as 150kgs???

And the driver has certainly gained a few extra kgs of ballast since then aswell haha

You've dropped the ball on this one.

Go find a public weigh bridge.

Weight is king.

I know. This is something ive been really concious of during the build. And something i have put alot of effort and dollars into reducing. The only things that add wieght are the driveline, but thats ok for the benefits of having 6spd, r180 and 800hp rear shafts.

This past weekend was a massive conformation for me.

My white car is down about 15kws to my old silver car but the white car is down about 90kgs and the difference was amazing. I was having to modulating the throttle out of most corners as it was spinning all wheels. That's hot R-specs with 180kws.

Weight is king.

Definitely. But i fear less wieght will only exacerbate my traction issues off the line. Whether that will be negated by better acceleration once going is a good question. Fgor drags, I reckons it would give more MPH, but probs increase ET unless i could really get the launching aspect under control. From the runs on wednesday, the launch has a massive bearing on ET. On the runs where i had bad launchs, i was usualky over half a second slower, but sometimes with as much as 2+ KPH speeds.

With you car is there a significant aero disadvantage on the new car.

Cars are exactly the same aero wise.

That is both have/had zero aero.

Looking back at the time slips...

My best 60' all night was 1.715s. And it would have possibly been even quicker than my best run if i didnt fark it up. Maybe even all 11.xx. I remember that run as that was against a pretty quick white GC. And i missed a gear shift and then backed off crossing the line at only 97kmh and taking 17 seconds LOL. It would have been interesting if it was a smooth run with a 1.715 second 60 footer. Not too far off a 1.6s 60', and that was with the current setup.

And my best trap speed all night was 191.32 kmh. That was on a 12.148 second run.

I know. Straight line 1/4 racing is for knob heads. But it is kinda fun to still do some runs.

Haha, horses for courses.

I'm going to start chopping mine up a bit more, doors etc will be first.

She's hibernating for a while so plenty of time.
