That's a solid 12sec pass. Good 60 foot and top end.

Would be quick on the street. Always hard to get a good launch on a prepped strip. No match for your typical ford/ Holdens that need to run a drag radial to pull a similar time.

That's a good question, what tyres did he run? Has me looking at these lovelies http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearc ... iameter=17 and selecting Track & Competition DOT Tires under the Performance category.....mmmmm.

At the drags with an awd your challenge is to launch hard without bogging down or destroying your gear box. Its a lot harder on a properly prepped drag strip where they spray a sticky compound down to increase traction.

On a standard road surface you can get a little front wheel spin to keep you on boost and go. So you don't need anything fancy at the drags.

Micky Thomson drag radials are popular for 2wd street cars that are chasing sub 13sec quarters. (big generalization)

I do have a bit of a tyre fettish. A quality sticky street legal tyre can make a big difference and shouldn't be underestimated as a performance mod ( along with a track orientated wheel alignment) fortunately/ unfortunately awd gives subies a higher grip level to begin with so it becomes less of a priority unless your spending time on the track.

Feel free to start another tyre topic to avoid too much post hijacking
