A serious question now for those who know about such things:- couldn't you just skip a gear on the six speed given that it is close ratio? I'm thinking alongs the lines of: get off the line in 1st, short into 2nd, skip either 3rd or 4th but changing late into the gear (guessing best to skip 4th?), then into 5th to cross the line?

Perhaps I'll add a couple more psi for next time.

As for weight reduction all I can really do is make sure I have half a tank of fuel, baby seat's gotta stay in, spare wheel I'll keep it in as I want to run it in street trim pretty much, then there's my own body weight, I could probably loose 6-8kg... I weigh 101.2kg atm and if I lost too much I'd look like a bean pole :lol:
