Hey all as my bro was taking his 250kw evo out to try and crack 11s I thought why not give the Foz a run for the first time to see what it could do...

As it was my first time out I didnt wanna give it everything off the line and break anything...

1st run: Easy off the line in D no power button

2nd run: Planted it off the line in D power button on

3rd run: Stalled it up to 2K in 1st power button on (changed gears a tad early n probably could have left it in 3rd over the line)

MY BEST RESULT

Date: 8/5/13
Track: WSID
R/T: -0.063
60': 2.274
ET: 14.299
MPH: 98.92
KM/H: 159.20

MY TIMESLIP:

3rd Run - I had the camera pointed more at the boost gauge to see if i was holding boost... Something didnt seem right only getting 1-1.2 bar but my ecudatascan was peaking at 18psi when car is tuned with 16-17psi

What mods do you have?

Thats not a bad time, ok MPH. If you can knock a bit off the 60ft time, it may get you into the 13sec bracket.

A way to make the autos launch harder is to try and stall them up before launching. Brake and accelerator at the same time.... Im no good at it but im sure someone will chime in with a good technique to do it.

good times man! Last night was a good night for it.

I found that putting into neutral, then step on the brakes, put it back in D (Sport D), then stall it up to 2500rpm or what you feel comfortable doing, then take off works well. If I don't put it into neutral before braking to stall it up, the car bogs down on take off... probably the brake assist etc is engaged.

But I confused myself once and went the wrong way

Tips for a good auto launch
Put it in low gear with power button on. (this forces the TCU to use full line pressure)
get into staging first. you want a good 5 seconds if possible to get maximum stall rpm
use brake + hand-brake if you need to keep it from dragging the brakes
you want to use WOT to build boost, the more boost and rpm you can get, the harder your launch will be

do a few practice runs on the street to see how long it takes to get good boost and not drag the car into a false start.
my TT leggy would build 2700rpm and 12-13psi of boost. The brakes couldn't hold it alone, handbrake helped a little

Hillholder or some B/S...

LOL at launching backwards. Bet that was embarrassing. After that run, you may aswell just keep on driving out the gate and off home with you tail between your legs.
