Next event is April 25.
For first timers, there is a track walk and in car instruction included.
Great fun and not too serious. You will definitely discover the limits of your car on this track :)

Lots of fun on a bike - lots of turns, very short straight though

Short enough to stop cars from getting into too much trouble....some still manage to go straight off before the bend ;)

I notice they are upgrading the track at the moment...
Do their rules apply for affiliated members as well?? : http://www.mgcarclub.com.au/Entries/MG% ... 6%2011.pdf
BTW, fire extinguishers and blue triangles not mandatory at CC/ Wakefield.

Yeh it will be great when the work on the track is done.
Yes I believe the same rules apply....not that it's a hassel.

Good to see this thread! I can't make it due to distance obviously, but recommend anyone thinking about it, just do it! If you're looking for an intro to track, Hillclimb is probably a lot easier on the car than a 'track day' if you're not sure your brakes etc are up to the task. Enjoy!

Yeah, they run under CAMS so those requirements are there. Circuit Club don't (run under CAMS or other similar organisations) as it is "non competition" (this is why the MG come and try day didn't require them) making the list of things they want you to have pretty much disappear.
