All that Info is on the Newcastle MG car club website. Usually one hill climb a month.

Like bob said all the info is on the website.
But the basics r.
1 U need to join a cams affiliated car club.
2 Then get ur cams licence.
3 A ADR approved helmet.......any old motorcycle helmet will do.
4 A fire extingusher bolted securely in place.

All in all cheap n designed to get u into the sport n having fun.

How'd the day turn out wizz - did you run?
We had another wash out at Collingrove Hillclimb yesterday :( I still ran in it but am hanging to see some dry track times again. Last dry lap was Sept last year!

Yeh good man. Yeh I imagine u would be hanging for some dry weather.
Day started out slippery, then dried briefly on most parts of the track to which I managed to do one fast lap 35:15 (a second slower than my PB) then the heavens opened up for our last two runs. Was keen to do some wet runs for comparison, 38:15 about 4 seconds slower than the dry. It got really wet but they kept the track open to anyone game enough to have a go. A few close call's with people spinning off soon put the wind up the majority which only left a few of us competing towards the end.
I'm really keen to get some semi slicks on my uther rims now as I feel I have pushed as hard as I can with my current rims/road tyres in dry n wet conditions.
I believe u can guess where my tax return will be spent :)

^^^ Haha, yes I hear you. Desperately need new everyday rubber on mine as well, which doubles as my track rubber too  My last tax return went 100% to the engine rebuild but I'll do this next one quick smart and hopefully have new rubber sorted soon.

Good to hear you got out there again and got the best of both wet and dry conditions  No doubt the wet teaches you a lot, just need a dry day now to test how much I've learned against the clock!
