The time has come to review my Comprehensive Car Insurance and I want to make sure I'm covered if I do some damage off-road.

I'm currently with AAMI, which seems pretty good.
Can anyone else provide who they recommend?

Looking for comprehensive, contents inside car cover, road-side (or off-road) assist is a bonus.

They did a talk a while ago on offroad insurance at the Subaru 4wd club of Vic meeting. I think it was Club 4x4 Insurance they found gave exc cover and actually cheaper than the others.

Covers all your mods (most only cover mods up to a certain value or not at all), accessories (UHF radio, winch, lift kit, bullbar, driving lights/LED lightbar, roof basket, rooftop tent, drawers, etc) plus will cover you everywhere, even on a never used dirt track 1000kms out the back of Bourke, or worse, in outback WA!

I got 4x4 insurance through DGA brokers in Melbourne (I'm in Sydney) and it was the cheapest policy for my imported Isuzu MU, and covered me anywhere in Australia, on or off road.

Communication was via phone or fax 10 years ago, but they now have a webpage:
https://dgainsurance.com.au/4wd/

I did make a claim for an off-road accident.
I filled some forms for my claim, smash repairer quoted the job ($3k or so).
It was approved, repaired and I paid excess to the smash repairer. No hassle and quick turnaround.

Most places will cover you as long as you aren't competing/on a training course, and you are legally allowed to be there
