Awesome, will have a chat to the guys at the shop and see if that's going to be suitable. Really appreciate the advice! Thanks mate

I put a carbon fiber 1 piece shaft into my car. But my car has full de-lift and body spacer removal.

Yeah fair enough. Hopefully there is something fairly easy which can be done as I believe there are a few SH's with the same kit and I assume, no problems. Can't work out why mine decides it has to have the issues. Very annoying.

So driveshaft specialist said angles are way off and too severe to not vibrate. Recommended a one piece like you mentioned Bram. Thanks for your help.

Scrap that, he's decided that it won't solve the problem of the angle being too severe at the gearbox and putting too much stress. It's already split both bushes in the front control arms in the week or so I've been driving it too. Last step will be trying to see if I can reduce the stress by spacing down the engine or gearbox, however if that's going to cause other issues or be too expensive the kit will be taken out of the car what a nightmare. This will be workshop # 5. If anyone knows any good suspension/mechanic shops who know stuff about lifted subarus, it would be awesome.

Bummer.

Doing the front will be interesting. Basically you will need to space the engine crossmember. Space the LCA joints. Space the lower U brace. Make a custom steering knuckle for between rack and column. Extend the TMIC splitter (if turbo). Space the gearbox. Modify the shifter mechanism. And then hope it fixs your issues.

Or perhaps get in contact with Nachaluva and ask if perhaps you can swap the 2" kit for a less aggressive 1" kit. That might be close enough tgat you wont get issues, but still enough lift for tge wheel/tyres combo

Yep I spoke with him this afternoon and am going to go down to a 1.5" kit and see how it goes and go from there. Apparently 1.5" is well within what should be an ok tolerance so hopefully it makes a positive difference. The recommendation for dropping the gearbox was done by a guy who was more familiar with 4wd. When I spoke to the shop he recommended to do the work, he said that doing that to a Subaru would be a nightmare and not worth the time.
Next steps will be replacing the bushes, trying to reduced lift and seeing how it is. Matt (Nachaluva) suggested trying a replacement axle as he thinks that's the next logical point if the aforementioned doesnt solve the problems. Second hand axles aren't that expensive so might be a cheapish option to rule out, however don't want to drop the cash if it's not the issue. Hopefully the extra half inch is enough to improve things.
Lucky I bought the kit of someone who is helpful and honest otherwise I'd be screwed :-)
Thanks again for the advice!

Dropping the engine and gearbox is a big job, but it certainly wouldnt be impossible. I basically did the oposite with my car, and raised the engine/box/etc up about 25/30mm.

As for a 1.5" lift being a fix for the issues you get from a 2" lift. Well 1/2" isnt really that much. 12.5mm, it probs wont make tgat much difference to what you have alreaddy. But worth a try anyways.

Hmmm I was going to go the 1.5" as that is what was recommended due to the caster offset which apparently the 1" doesn't have (makes it handle better from memory?) It might also look strange with the front being a full one inch lower than the back as we wouldn't be swapping the back over. I guess if there is zero difference with the 1.5", I'd have to look at other things being causative, i.e axles efc. If cv angles are the only issue, i assume a .5" reduction in height means the cv angles should be somewhat better, which should improve things to a noticeable degree at least. Am heading to matts to swap it over tomorrow so will see what he says then. I'd rather no vibration at all and slightly worse handling if I can move on from this issue and there'll be no more cv joint worries. I just want to be done with it at this point :-)
