Check out the Fozmafia event page for some great pics. I was impressed with the turnout!
Seems to be easier for a larger group to get together on facebook rather than the forum here.
But always down to have just an ozfoz meet with you boys.

Dam I missed it! I've not been very connected to my diary lately (notifications are off) and it just slipped past. I tried to organise one 2 months after the 1st one I lead, and it didn't get off the ground.

Does every 6 months seem like the preferred duration between meets?

If anyone is every feeling like a cruise feel free to throw it up on FB and link to here, even if it's last minute, I'm looking for more reasons to take the beast into the mountains :)

It's a bit of a mystery to me why some events seem to get sent to "not happening" no-mans-land while others do ok. Possibly a combination of:-

(a) too many cooks/opinions in the early stages that means the date sometimes gets pushed back weeks/months from when the original poster says "I feel like a drive to X place on Y date, who wants to come along"; and

(b) the usual unreliability of people between saying and doing (and I'm not holding myself blameless there either).

Perhaps facebook is a better format for setting up events. As a non-facebooker I really appreciate when the info gets posted up here (bravo Tremayne for the level of detail by the way).

On a smaller scale, I live 5 mins from The Gap & Samford, so if anyone fancies a run through Mt Nebo Rd, Mt Glorious, etc at short notice I'm pretty keen. Evenings work fine if I have enough notice to skip the beers.
