Yeah, Sorry I should have specified it earlier.

No, got the diff oil checked and it was fine. Lucky it wasn't on the dyno for too long.

Car was driving fine the next trip after driving home.

$150 sounds pretty good for dyno time

APC are very thorough as well so seems like a good deal

You could try perfourmance at Slacks Creek and see what they would charge

Perfourmance dont tune or have a dyno. Mechanical only.

Robin shops his dyno customers out to Advanced Performance Centre.

I would still love to see what my car makes in current trim. I'm also happy to do all the calling around/sorting dates and prices. Who would be keen for this? Maybe middle of August?

My Forester is an Auto. After the dyno there was a slight smell coming from the car and it was noticeably rougher than normal to drive on the way home. Im not a mechanic or tuner so im just telling you what happened and what I was told.

From Dyno Dynamics:
"The centre diff is not 'active' as it engages when wheelspin is detected. TC on means your limiting engine power as it tries to equalize the power by applying brakes to 1 axle. Dyno Dynamics wont differentiate front to rear speed differences."

From Matt ThrottleHappy:
"4EAT is supposed to be run in FWD mode, not Shoot44 since it will fry the centre diff. Auto Foresters are FWD until slip is detected, so it needs a fuse applied to engine bay to run on a dyno."

Actually the dyno monitors the torque from both axles and adjusts applied load accordingly - if there was a problem you'd see warning lights in the car.

I'd also be interested to see proof about the TC being off giving 10% more...

My 4eat was fine on Mercury Motorsports dyno when we had the dydno day there. If T/C is an issue, cant it just be turned off.
