Will be interesting to see the temps from an older nice and conductive alloy intake manifold. (Good point clay)

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Nice pics. if you have more and/or get a more full set of thermal shots (different cameras, conditions, engine bays, etc), don't be shy about posting as many as you want on Ozfoz!

Heres a shot from last night after doing a sprint up the hills.

I wouldn’t normally park with very hot brakes without a cool down. But in the name of science it was worth it.. i could smell them cooking

The rotor pic is a weird, the spoke pattern is a reflection but the outside edge of the rotor should not be massively hotter than the rest of the rotor. A pity the camera has such poor resolution, but its big $ to get a wider temp range.

It just occurred that the disc appears that way due to the polished surface finish. I needed to change the setting to metal (It was on auto). Anything reflective appears very cold compared to surroundings.
There is a $75k thermal camera here.. but I seriously doubt i could ever borrow it.

Yeah, I have really good ones here at work, but they are part of gear that weighs 220 kg and costs well into 7 figures.....I only get to play with it on its test rig fixing components or when it's fitted to aircraft.
