Hi all, is anyone able to tell me what a genuine 2000 stb/sti forester would be worth in OZ. As they are a personal import only they seem very rare and I can't find any that are for sale or have been sold in Australia

That one is just a regular s/tb, not an s/tb sti.

This one is a genuine sti and I've been thinking of selling it as it was my wife's daily and she has now got a new car and it just sits around most of the time.

I'm guessing it's the Type II M or whatever it's called... STI blinged interior bits and pieces.

Many purists (myself included) reckon the only true STi is the SG model that comes as a 2.5L, 6-speed, brembos.

That being said, they are still quite rare, so worth more than your standard STB / TTB

A purist such as yourself should probably know that there were a few versions of the STi in the SF chassis. The limited number Type II M being only one of them.

By that logic, would you also exclude the very early WRX STIs from being 'true' STIs?

IMHO the Type M is definitely a proper STI and the pinnacle of the SF line. It doesn't need Brembos or a six-speed to prove its credentials. Each to their own I guess.
