TRIP DATES - Thursday 13th Nov to Monday 17th, 2014

I'm keen as to finish this trip properly this year and looking to gauge interest and see what Nov date works best!
At this early stage, how does Thurs 13th to Sun 16th work for you all, with some of leaving Monday 17th?

Link tolast year's infamous trip>

Details same as last year:
- Staying at Mt Beauty Holiday Centre - It's a seriously good spot, and pub is next door :drinks: http://holidaycentre.com.au/
- Caravan Park Site Map Link - We're in Site 88 and Yurts 4 & 5
- I'm planning to do plenty of MTB'ing on the Thurs & Fri, and hopefully hook up with some OzFoz crew for some decent mountain cruises, MTB and beers, Sat & Sun at least.
[EDIT] Looks like we're going to Winton on Fri 14th for a track day!

I got us Yurt 4 plus a Powered Camp Site reserved for the nights of Thurs 13th to Sun 16th inclusive.

The Yurts are basically just a big room with basic kitchen, small table and beds - nothing fancy. BYO Linen & Towels!
Yurt 4: 3 Separate Beds (a double queen downstairs, and 2 double futons in loft) = $90 per night for 2 people, and $20 for each extra person.
Yurt 5: 3 Separate Beds (a double bed, and a singles bunk) = $80 per night for 2 people, and $20 for each extra person.
You need to bring your own towels and linen for the Yurts!

The Powered site is located out the front of the Yurts and has a power outlet and garden tap for water = $30 per night for 2 people, and $10 for each extra person.

This area faces the river and has plenty of room for parking cars and tents.
I'll bring a gazebo with 2 covered sides for outdoor cover, and Tdobes may bring one as well?
We can buy wood by the barrow-load and have fires in a moveable half drum.
There's also free undercover BBQ areas, communal kitchen and lounge etc.
Toilets and showers are communal and not far away.
The pub is only a 5 minute walk!
98 RON is available in the town. No E85. (I'm bringing 3-5 jerrys of it for the Fri track and some of the Sat cruise)

Based on all below - Accomm costs are:
Yurts = $40 each per night.
Camping = $15 each per night.

With Yurt 4 & Site 88
Thurs (1 in Yurt 4 / 4 in tents) $90 / $50
Fri (3 in Yurt 4 / 4 in tents) $110 / $50
Sat (3 in Yurt 4 / 4 in tents) $110 / $50
Sun (3 in tents) $40
TOTAL YURTS = $310 / TOTAL TENTS = $190

///////// MASTER LIST OF WHO'S COMING WHEN - CORRECT ME IF WRONG! /////////

Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun nights, leave Mon:
- ExRex (Tent) - FIRM - PAID $60 (+$5 extra to cover shortfall)
- Tdobes (Tent) - FIRM - PAID $60
- garzy (Tent) - FIRM - TO PAY $60

Thurs, Fri, Sat nights, leave Sun:
- housemusik (Yurt 4) - FIRM - PAID $120
- dixon001 (Tent) - FIRM - PAID $45

Fri night, Sat night, leave Sun:
- kab (Yurt 4) - FIRM - PAID $80
- blake (Yurt 4) - FIRM - PAID $80

Sat Cruise & Night?:
- bubblegoose (for the cruise only)
- bubblegoose's mate in WRX Wagon (for the cruise only)
- Tweeds20 (only a maybe for cruise and night in car)
- Family Guy (meet up on Sat at Germantown)

Coming, but doing their own accomm:
- mdayment (not for Winton)

Winton Track Only (no stay at Mt Beauty):
- H-are
- S2-13BT (official photographer  )

Interested, not confirmed yet:
- SnoXTi (swagging it for Sat night?)

///////// WHO IS DOING WINTON ON FRIDAY 14th /////////
- ExRex (buying 40L E85)
- H-are
- dixon001
- garzy (buying 40L E85)
- housemusik????

I sent an email to Winton's organisers with a heap of questions and got some good info back - this is a summary of it all:

- Events can be subject to change. However at this stage it is not likely to change. We can contact the office a week beforehand to confirm that is has not changed.

- Gates open at 8am and Circuit starts at 10am. We can arrive any time of day but cost remains the same.

- The Cost is $150 per driver. Sessions for the day rotate for about 20 to 25minutes in categories for example; Tin Tops, Open Wheelers and then Motorcycles.

- A competitor can use either a Current CAMs License or a AASA Licence. (must be presented) however you do not need to be a member of any club to participate on the day.

- If a you do not have a current licence you can purchase a $50 AASA Club Racing Licence and it lasts 12 months.

- They have a Café and Kiosk available that will be open for the day.

- They also have a Fuel Shop that will be open three times a day and we will have 98 on pump all day.

- E85 is available at the Fuel shop, its $65 per 20L drum and if you return your drum, you will received a $15 refund back. (That's approx $2.50/L once drum is returned).
If you wish to purchase E85 we just need to contact the office with a rough estimate of how much we will be wanting so they can make sure they have enough for us.

I'm going to bring enough in jerry cans to swap fuels on the way there filling half a tank (and driving without WOT), run the tank down on the way to Winton and then fill the tank. I'll probably order 2x 20L E85 drums as back up and keep the tank as full as possible all day on the track to avoid fuel surge, etc. It's expensive but so are engine rebuilds

Apparently the cruise out to the top of Mt Buffalo is also an awesome one, so maybe that could be a mellow one for Sunday

This might be like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun...but our 10yr anniversary is on the 14th and we were talking about going back to Bright (where I proposed) on Saturday and Sunday (15/16). So if you were thinking of doing the cruise on the Saturday from about midday then I might be able to make it?!! ;)

This "maybe" will obviously be decided by the wife, as our trip is more about an anniversary than an ozfoz meet!! :?

Dan!! Foz!! Don't be stupid yo!!! ;)
