[quote="andrew_k"]Thanks! Found a source of the genuine one this morning for $132. Subaru Aus want $449. No way!

Part number is 22690AA321, which is a newer replacement for the original 22690AA320 that the MY99/MY00 shipped with. The generic Bosch part is LSO2

Quoted from their website....

Subaru Oxygen Sensor
To suit Subaru Impreza, Liberty and Outback. Please confirm the part number with Subaru before purchasing as these cars take one of 2 different sensors. We have both.

Replaces Subaru Part no. 22690-AA220 & 22690AA321, Bosch no. 0258003445

the 02 sensor above lists a bosch no 0258003445 can anyone confirm whether this is the correct replacement of a 99GT?? I recently was quoted a by Autopro ($110.00) an entirely different number??? getting confused

cheers Michel

Michel: I have installed the sensor I linked to above and it works perfectly. No wiring/plug changes or any such nonsense. Just unscrew the old one, apply provided copper-coloured gel to thread of new one, tighten and plug it in.
Previous to installing this sensor I was getting ~20L/100km. The tank after fitting the new sensor saw that drop down to 10.8L/100km, which is all traffic and mountain driving, no highways.

Not quite... As you can see on the suppliers page

I ordered part no. 22690AA321. According to their listing both of the above part numbers correlate to that Bosch part number. I have no knowledge of the Bosch part number, the sensor I received was not a Bosch product.

Out of interest was it a Denso item? Isn't Bosch the OEM part?

Car currently has a non orig Denso item.

finally ordered my sensor so hopefully fuelling/running issues will be ok.

But during my searching these are the numbers I have that are meant to be for 99 GT

Bosch

Direct fit: 0258003445 (this can be bought online from Trade Parts)
Universal Fit: 269013255 (when giving this part number to some Bosch stockists they cannot get a match?)

Subaru

22690AA321

The above should be correct. I have also being given some other numbers by parts supplier but gave up wondering?

Gonna dig this one out.

My foz (MY00 STi, 04/2000) failed emissions, control loop test showed that the corrections are too slow. Assuming my o2 sensor is as old as the car - 18 years - that's not surprising.

I've checked partsouq and local online shops for 22690AA320 and 22690AA321, they're showing heaps of different manufacturers (no Denso) with accordingly different pricing between 30€ and 150€. A UK based shop is selling the original subaru part for 150GBP.

Any ideas which manufacturer to go for or which ones to avoid? I have heard of people having issues with Bosch sensors in Subarus.
