Done this mod today.
Works a treat.

Tip:
If you copy it exactly, like I did, and it doesn't work.
Try spinning your LED globes (if applicable) 180 degrees.
They only flow one direction, so when you swap those two wires on the plug, you need to compensate, by spinning the globes around.

Did this today, MY00 SF5. Thanks very much for the decent guide.

I did find that turning the MIL to the ON position, also turns the MRL's on too. Which is not a problem for me, but in your overview, it did state that this doesn't happen. Like I say, not a problem, it may be an SF5 thing. But for me, just to have all the interior lights on when opening the doors, that itself is awesome.
Thanks mate

Just performed this little mod again, this time on an SG with a moonroof.

Easiest way to link the MIL and MRL on a moonroof-equipped vehicle is to carefully pull off the "pinch strip" around the edge of the moon roof and tuck the wire into the cavity that is presented.

It's probably been covered earlier but with Bye Evo's method, the MRL will illuminate when the doors are opened regardless of the position of the switch on the MIL.

Wiring up to the centre terminal on the MIL will make the MRL do whatever the MIL does (meaning you can turn everything off using the MIL switch).

Cheers again for this DIY!
