Patch lead connects to the Steering Wheel control harness from Aerpro. Has a little control box where the patch lead plugs into.

I will be wiring up my DDX9017 tonight with that harness and iso cables.

Yes, I've got that, I was wondering how they then ran to the HU as there's several universal ones from Aerpro

Ended up ordering the APLRNPL patch lead which should be fine

GPS and FM antenna adaptors on the way as well as a new on-glass style DAB+ antenna for the add on receiver

Also, has anyone figured out the factory sub integration at all?

Hmmm, Im not sure.

I finished wiring up my DDX just before, so far initial impressions are great. But I have issues with my steering controls!

I am using the CHSU4C harness with the APUNIPL C type patch lead, the headunit recognizes the commands when I assign them, but they don't do the right things.

Gonna be calling up AeroPro/Kenwood tomorrow and see if i can get them to help me out.

The patch lead you ordered I believe will do the job for your setup.

Install rca on the car side harness and then connect to your headunit sub out. I was going to do this, but now purchased after market sub

Here is a video of my issue,

Has anybody had issues with there steering controls for these "learning" style head units?

I am leaning towards a incompatible patch lead, but time will tell when I hopefully hear back from the manufactures.

curious as to why you are using the universal one and not the kenwood one?

Apparantly the kenwood one is not supported for that unit, thats what the retailer has on there website (eliteelectronics) I contacted them today and aerpro regarding the issue.

I need to cut some wires on the patch lead to make it work correctly with the Kenwood, they got back to me very quickly. Very happy with both there support.

Its silly that Aerpro don't include the instructions that were emailed to me with the actual product, otherwise who is too know!

Will be giving it a go tomorrow.

Hows your install going BakerBoy?
