Question... Once you take the cover off at the bottom, the filters are in there to be removed? :?
There's nothing in there as per the PDF to remove and clean

A lot of the SF's were factory delivered without the filter in place. Mine didnt have one either.

If you don't wanna spend $70 or so on the OEM assembly here is another option.

Source a BA - FG Ford Falcon Cabin filter. These are larger / longer than the GC8 cavity however that is fine given they are easy trim to size.
RYCO part no:
RCA100P - standard paper
RCA100C - carbon filmed
I choose the carbon version as that is what I use on my G6ET and really love its ability to remove pollution odours.

1. Measure 230mm along the long edge of the filter (as per picture) and mark. Then cut with box cutter/Stanley knife. BTW the below looks second hand as its one of my old ones that I was using for trial fitting and testing.

2. Now noting the flow arrow / direction arrow on the filter. Cut a notch in the top corner of filter. You need to do this as the top of the cavity is not square. So in my example the filter is laying flat with the flow arrow is pointing down. Notch shown in above picture also.
3. Insert the filter in the cavity. Notch should face the rear of the vehicle with the trimmed section facing up. Shove and squeeze it in. There is not much room down there however it will go in and regain its proportions. As stated given the top of the heater box is not fully flat the trimmed and notched section perfectly follows the top of the heater box contours.
4. Finally using a long screwdriver or steel ruler gently push the filter onto the aircon evaporator for a snug fit.

5. Install the cover test and enjoy the benefits of pollen and pollution free air.
