Hi guys

I did my radiator today. I got a Golpher 2 core 40mm.
Also got mine from Michael's
Thanks for the DIY!

To fit the 2 core required some fan housing trimming and spacers.

Btw does it matter if i fitted a radiator with a cap which mine didnt have one originally?

The additional radiator cap is fine. As long as you plum in the overflow pipe to the overflow resoiver. The late SG9 has the extra radiator cap, which the early SG9 never got. Probably makes air bleeding easier or something? Also, if you have 1 upgraded pressure cap, you wont get any extra benifit, as the system pressure will be regulated by the lowest pressure cap.

hey guys,

I'm looking for a replacement radiator for our '02GT Forester, how are these Golpher alloy radiators going after a few years use, are they proving reliable? Need something that can handle QLD heat!

Trying to choose between the vanilla Koyo @$138 or a Golpher alloy for around $275. Seems like the koyo full alloy isnt available for the GT any more (or I would definitely consider it), only the later models, and the PWM version is far too exxy.

Having sadi that - Subaru quoted around $800 for a standard replacement installed...

Cheers,
MrC

digging up an old thread here,

have just received and installed one of these units in my SH and i have the auto cooler on mine.

have been all over town looking for fittings to suit this and noone has even seen this type of fitting before

I have been to a local radiator place, pirtek, hardy spicer - (a hydraulic fitter), autobarn, outlaw speed shop and only enzed had something that was close - and it leaks

pulling my hair out on this one!
