Yeah spewin. Even went to the shop to see if maybe there was some lag in price change but just met with the harsh reality of $449.

So ah.. if anyone bought one and ends up changing mind.. hollar@me :P

Not as good as the last deal but this is on sale again for $314.

I picked one up and put it in last night / this morn. Sounds ok but still gotta tune and wear it in (?).

Have any of you guys actually installed and ran one of these for a considerable amount of time? I'm considering it for my car, but have been told it's a waste of money as it's nowhere near powerful enough...

I had one installed and it made a good difference. I eventually went a sub in the boot as part of my audio enhancements. I picked up a second hand sub and second hand amp for not much more than the Kicker. The main benefit of the Kicker is it saves boot space/the need to remove the sub from the boot when you need the space. Plus it is a bit easier to install. I rarely use my boot and when I do the 2 mins it takes to remove the sub works for me. The difference between to stock under seat sub and the Kicker is huge. The difference between the Kicker and an sub in the boot is massive.

I installed my Kicker over the weekend, I have to say, worth every cent. $350 from Strathfield Car radio.

After removing the factory subwoofer, which is quite small, light, and a very tiny speaker. I put in the Kicker.

Wiring was simple enough, I used the existing wiring, just matched up the connections. I would say almost simple......
The Speaker -ve on the existing factory were grounded together (not that bad), however what looked like the -ve was actually a speaker positive.....

I am not sure whether this was a dealer wiring issue, or whether it came like that from factory (which would be very disappointing), so after some quick diagnosis. YAY!

It thumps pretty well, I uses the straps provided and bolted them to the place where the old subwoofer was mounted, magically - a perfect fit. I also added a little sound insulation whist in there.

The difference is very noticeable - much better low range sound.

However......
1) now looking at upgrading front door speakers.
2) Adding a direct power connection to the battery (recommended by a car audio expert).
