I've already got calls running through my 2009 stock sat-nav but I want to delete this long ugly aux lead that gets tangled in the seat rails all the time.

I've found this so far but it's a bit pricey at $195...
Parrot MKi9000 v3 Kit - Does anyone have this already and can give some insight on install and use?

Anyone have any other suggestions?
All I want is call functionality and music streaming. The address book stuff doesn't phase me at all.

Desired functionality:
  • Call handling
  • Music streaming
  • Easy to use remote for song changes
  • Bonus: Steering wheel control integration

Thanks Rowie, but I've already done that. It doesn't allow music streaming unfortunately :(

Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter @ JB Hi-Fi - $48
I could potentially change the wiring to plug into the cars 12V but not sure how call handling would work.

Yeah mate, XTP

I sorted it out last night, works really nicely now.

I bought the Himbox HB01 on eBay from the UK.
Stuck it on the drivers side of the A/C controls, and routed the wires under the trim back to the plugs in the centre console.

My phone connects within 3 seconds of turning the car on, and it handles Siri now too. Voice clarity is amazing although some people can hear their own voice :(

But other than that, awesome!

I took a punt on one of these and never looked back: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-Bluetoot ... SwDNdVuHnt

I just use the call functionality on the head unit, and plug this thing in to a USB car charger - run the 3.5mm jack into an RCA splitter (red and white) to connect it to the AUX input. All neatly hidden under the arm rest and it auto connects to the last device that was connected to it every time. So for <$10 i've got audio streaming at least!

Oh and yes when you get a call, my iphone switches to the head unit to handle the call and cuts the music.. then when i hang up the tunes kick back in

Did a write up ages ago on it all... All you need is a bluetooth receiver and connections and you're done... It's tucked away and you don't even see it.. My photo links are broken because I deleted my photobucket.. But the rest is there.. Do go replacing the head unit if you don't need to
