Hello friends,

My 09 XT heater has been blowing cold on the drivers side for 12mths. I am a bit tight on $ and thought it might be something simple enough to fix on my own. I can see that the actuators which control/divert the air to feet, face etc work ok and i can control the flow locations. On the drivers side i can see the actuator which controls the hot or cold air moves ok but it only seems to allow hot air to passenger side.

We have a bew born and i am struggling to regulate the temp.
Any ideas?

Kind regards

Just had mine flushed back and forwards and is now working fine - if it dies its a dash out job.

I took the dash out today to ensure the actuators were working to open and close all of the vents and transition between hot and cold. I dont know the full inner workings of the A/C unit but it seems like everything is in order. I cannot imagine what is happening in there to block or stop the warm air from coming out on one side only. Isnt it only one large flap which controls the heat vs cold?

Suggest flushing the heater core both ways. Let me know how much gunk comes out :)

Mine went from heat on one side (left) to nothing.

I had weird heat issues in my SH - while I will confirm this has fixed the issue (have not blasted the heater in a while),

But having a 100% functioning water pump resolved my issue.

Had a GMB pump in my car and the heat was crap on one side....which literally makes no sense as I don't know how the heatercore can get "half hot" (or maybe there was air in the system, all is i know my car ran abnormally hot with that water pump) - maybe it was a internal door issue, but all is i know is it works well enough for me not to warrant taking the dash out!
