Has anyone any experience with these light mounts?

Are they any good? The lights on my SG are fairly ordinary.

Its not the mount that will be sh1t. Its the trying to mount it into a plastic bumper with no reinforcement that will be sh1t.

I had a good look at where it is recommended to mount it (number plate mount) and it seems pretty stable to me. Its only a lightweight light bar..

How are others mounting aftermarket light bars?
I'll be doing a fair bit of country Km's and need decent lights.

When I was looking at possibly using one of those, "somewhere" there was a thread with pics of stabilisers taken back to the REAL bumper - that big section behind the plastic, through the lower opening in the stock SG grille. I suspect(*) that may be enough to avoid mental issues triggered by the wobbles.

(*) I have been wrong before. YMMV.

The bar may be light , but it depends on what lights you attach it to.
Also being an overseas item the mounting holes may not line up.

Look at my sig below I had 3x Narvas on the light bar. Bounce wasn't too bad however I didn't use them for extended periods. I know someone who wore out the threads on the numberplate boltholes so I got rid of it.
If you have an SG XT and don't want a bullbar another option is to mount behind the grill. A bit more work but it is actually quite simple to do. I've had this setup now for many years and it's great.

That looks great!
I'm looking at the light bars like below, I think I'll look at mounting them like yours.

This is how I mounted mine.
I used all existing holes to mount the bracket. If you have a search online you can find many people have done the same with the SG.

That looks perfect!

What lights are those?
Are they spot or spread?

They are a combo light, though more spot in my opinion. These are the Baja ONX series. They are pretty much the best light bars on the market, but you pay for it and you wont like the price.
The grill does slightly reduce the output, but considering their value i would never mount them externally. They have a strobe mode and also a low output mode. Ive mounted the mode switch and isolator in the center console.
