Next small cosmetic update on the cards is a number plate style update. Not yet sure if I should go black background with blue text or the white JDM plate. If anyone's got thoughts, would be keen to hear :)

Nice work mate. Looks great. Brembos look the goods. What are you using to keep the paint looking great and to protect the new paint - ceramic coating like Gyeon or Opticoat, or a sealant or a wax?

Blue on black is bloody hard to read, should be good for escaping the long arm of the law should you ever have the need.

Yup, which seems to be the reason they've now discontinued this choice... Decided JDM might look a little over the top for the look I'm going for, so went with blue background/white lettering.

Thank you, I’m pretty happy with the result. I don’t think there was a way to do it more “thoroughly” - the car was completely stripped, roof rails, windows, doors etc etc. I think it would be close to impossible to tell this apart from factory finish, arguably this is better, as Subaru are reportedly notorious for the thinness of paint in their factory finishes.

It was around 12k, but some of it was covered by insurance as I had some panel damage being repaired as part of a claim.
