I'm wanting to upgrade my rotors for my SH and been tossing around cross drilled and slotted or just slotted brakes. So my question is this what's the difference between the 2. I've been told that crossed drilled are pretty pointless

From what i've heard and read about drilled ones, they are prone to (microscopic) cracking around the holes when manufactured in certain ways. As with any cracking, this might lead to larger cracks in the rotor, with the extreme being a self-disintegrating rotor.

Nevertheless, i am running Brembo Xtra drilled rotors on my SF. Their holes are countersunk and the rotors are heat-treated to relax all the tension in them, apparently.
