Hi Everyone,
Wanted to get some assistance on the size of tyre and rim in an SJ XT Premium Forester.
I am putting on 17inch Motegi MR118 rims
http://www.motegiracing.com/wheel/4431/mr118, these have a 45mm offset and increase to an 8 inch width from stock 7.
I have ordered the Subie Lift Oz 2 inch lift kit and wanted to figure out the correct tyre size to suit.
I am ordering the BFGoodrich KO2 T/A and unsure if i should run the following.
225/60R17
235/60R17
235/65R17
My main concern is rubbing on the wheel arch or fouling the rim on the suspension with the increased width but still a 45 offset. (Stock is 48). I'm pretty sure the increase to 8 width and 45 offset will be fine.
What is the best method of determining the fit of the wheel within the arch? Is it adding the rim size plus tyre profile to get a rough measurement? Wondering how accurate this would be considering the lift kit that's going to go on.
Any input on the above would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Sam.
