Went to get some prices today for the bridgestone re002's but they said they were discontinued. RE003's are on a boat here now.

Did anyone know these were on there way?

The supplier that has tested these out said they're the best tyre he's used (maybe just trying to sell them) but judging by the re002s I had on an old car these should be good

Gonna get some next week (or when they're available)

Will be interesting to see what sizes are available as well as the wear rating.
I'm a die hard RE00X fan but will be moving on to something else for the next set.
The 002's flogged out pretty quickly compared to the 001's.

Big fan of the potenza range but I really need to try pilot super sports one day regarded as the best street tyre by many ..

I think the Potenza RE003 should be considered entry level performance tyre, the Super Ports are another level up again. I had some Michelin Pilot Sport 3's which were essentially a revision of the PS2 which have now been replaced by the SS's. Regardless those PS3's I had on my XR5 were simply phenomenal, especially in the wet, freakish grip.

So ok, I had a bit of a drive today to try and scrub in the new RE003's, thye look awesome i have to say, and yeah I am really liking them considering the price, the Foz felt as good as it ever has since owning it. The previous owner installed RE001's on the stock 6.5" rims in 225/60/16 and whilst grip was excellent so much tyre roll through the mahoosive sidewalls, could feel the car moving on the tyres even at moderate cornering. I scored a cheap set of new 17x7 BRZ rims and went to a 215/55/17 tyre, narrower tyre an a wider rim = world of difference coupled with the 22mm rear sway bar, really feels good to point and shoot now and planted on the road.
