G'day I've been driving a G/C Jeep for last couple of years but it's getting to expensive to run a V8 so I'm currently looking for a 2010-12 Foz X ( it will good to get back into Subaru I've had 3 previously )
What I would like to know is - I just bought a new set of tyres for the Jeep they are the same wheel size as the foz but will they fit? There are 225/70/16 and the foz is 215/65/16 will I need a lift kit to fit them ?

It'll fit even without a lift. You may need to trim the plastic protrusion behind the front wheel that covers the pinch weld. Just the plastic though.

That's a common size for the offroad Subaru crowd.

You won't be able to fit the spare in the stock location though. And of course you need an equivalent size spare assuming you plan to use a spare (and not just flat bed recover).

Keep in mind that those tyres will change the rolling diameter and therefore the speedo. Check out:
