I was looking around for a set of wheel to fit my sh Foz, had my eye on a set of 18x9.5 +38 Rota Grid R's but I found out they don't fit over Brembos. So I want to future proof it with a set to clear Brembos. Anyone offer me some advice on which brand, width and offset would fit? Thanks. Or just scrap the Brembos idea and upgrade with a pair of liberty callipers?

Couldn't tell you what would clear Brembos but the Liberty calipers are so cheap in comparison and offer a similar sized rotor - I honestly don't think you'll notice the difference in braking performance as the Lib brakes out perform the SH brakes by quite a margin. Brembos do look porn though, so there's that aspect which I can't deny (I love some brake porn). Nothing beats a set of nice Brembos and 2-piece rotors.

I have already bought a set of Sti black callipers, still have to get rotors and lines. I might sell them off for a set of Librety callipers and fit some niceer wheels. But not 100% sure

You can use stock lines for Lib calipers, not sure on Brembos. I think all up my brake setup which consisted of Gen6 calipers, QFM HPX pads (inc rears) and new DBA T3 rotors + fluid and misc (paint/cleaner etc) was like $600. Can get a set of Rota's with the cash you'll have left over and can run the stock XT rims in the meantime as they'll clear the Lib calipers.

18x9.5 +38 Work Kiwami clears Brembos.

And 18x8 +45 Enkei RPF1 and I think all the Enkei PF01 in 18" fit. Plus tonnes of other wheels.

Google around for some STI wheel fitment threads for Brembo clearance.

I have 4 x 20" black Avalanche rims with 5x100. They have an offset that should clear Brembos. They definitely have the height. They looked great on my white SH.
I put 17's on with all terrain tyres. Low profile tyres just don't work for me anymore. Far too bumpy on crappy Sydney roads. Now I can buy better tyres instead of expensive, cheap quality 20's.

I went Gen5 Lib front and rear. $500 and were a massive improvement with same size lines. Less weight too!
Then you're not stuck with a rim size.
$500 vs $2000 odd for Brembos.
Spend the $1500 on a Verticooler or E85 flex fuel kit.

You'll be able to sell the brembos, (if you want) for what you bought them for easily.

Took your advice, Brembos sold! Now 18 or 19 inch wheels?

It's the more practical choice. We all love Big Brembos, but bang for buck is the smart choice.

I would choose 18's and use a good quality higher profile tyre to soak up the bumps and get the power to the ground. SH Foresters need a bit of meat on the tyre for aesthetics in my opinion. You can choose any 5x100 18" rim now.

hey all, just going to jump onto this thread for a bit :) Ive done some digging and spent a few hours reading and ive found these two list that have a list of wheels that clear some of the brembos etc.

Sadly since my S-Edition stock 17" Enkei's dont fit them I had to look at some new ones so here are some links :)
