Hey all!
I've just taken my my09 xtp into my subi dealer to have them change 2 spark plugs after I gave up on changing them. Collected the car and check engine light came on and had a miss.
Took it bcoz t the dealer they have now fixed the check engine light issue but say the miss is still there and are looking into it but it's possibly the coils.
If it is the coils is there any coil upgrades available or what are the best coils to get?

I had a similar issue, when they change the spark plugs they remove the coils. The problem is there is a little plastic clip that is attached to the coil. That clip hardens with the heat, and the locking mechanism on the clip breaks, therefore comes loose - hence misfiring begins.
My mechanic discovered this after a subaru service.
Don’t let them off the hook until it is fixed, usually with a bit of silicon to stop it from coming loose.

Have got the car back yesterday.
Subaru ended up replacing one of the coils (I think with a second hand unit as it doesn't look new) but this has eliminated the miss and they didn't charge me for it.

I was looking that in around 10k I will just do all the coils anyway. Has anyone brought the Cosmo racing coil packs from over in the US?
