I sent my details last December. Still waiting for the replacement date...

Ring the Subaru airbag hotline on 1300550994. Then ring your local dealership.

I have a STI steering wheel and air bag in my SH, does anyone know if the dealer will replace my airbag with another STI one or will they just replace it with the original one?

I finally received my airbag recall notice (it says second notice but I never received a first one)

Subaru castle hill is my nearest dealer. Does anyone have any experience with this shop?

Cheers

Subaru Castle Hill is my closest as well but I went there after breaking my steering angle sensor and the guy I was speaking to didn't know what an s-edition forester was and thought it was diesel.
I use Subaru Rosehill for spare parts and have talked to the service team a few times including getting the airbag replaced a few weeks ago with no issues.
Rosehill charged me far less than what Castle Hill wanted for diagnosing my broken steering angle sensor.

Thanks for that sorry it took me so long to reply.
Ill see who i can get into then - Castle Hill might be easier as im just nearby and can probably do it on the way to work one day.
Good to see another S-Edition around the area - ill be keeping an eye out

I had mine replaced about 2 weeks ago at Darwin Subaru, which I was very worried about (terrible reputation and sole dealer here), but the week it was booked in was when about 5 guys were being flown up by Subaru Australia to smash out as many of the Takata recall affected Subaru in the NT.

I dropped the car off at 7:45am and had a call for it to be collected at 9:05am, was very impressed and the car didn't have a scratch on it. Was very efficient and you could tell they'd been doing it as a day job for months, awesome :D

Hi guys,

Today I got the #SI0331: SRT243 Recall campaign Notice for Takata passenger airbag inflator for my Subaru Forester My12 .

QUOTE: Our aim is to make sure that Subaru owners have quick, easy access to having their affected vehicle rectified regarding the Takata airbag recall.

'VIN: Matches Your vehicle is included in the recall.'

I confirmed I am the registered owner of the Subaru vehicle listed and reside at the address as indicated.

'Subaru will be in touch when the parts are available for your vehicle in to be rectified.'

Has anyone had their Takata passenger airbag inflator replacement competed?

Cheers Al

I never heard back from this December 2017 registration to book mine in!

Instead Subaru sent me a couple of reminder letters to contact them, as if they had never seen my on line registration!

Now there are KILLER AIRBAG emergency notifications to effected owners on TV.

I might have to call 000!
