troy from prospeed says i need a 01-07 impreza knuckle
and kris from rising sun says its the grb knuckle
Does anyone know which knuckle fits the 06 FXT perfectly?

See this post. The steering knuckle for the Forester is longer to account for the body spacers.

Seems he bought another downpipe?
which seems extremely expensive and wasteful

I put a 5mm spacer under the drivers engine mount.
I had to make a slot in it so the mounting pin of the engine mount could still fit

No more rubbing

I actually took some spacers out when i changed the engine as I couldnt work out why they were there. Found out why and made a much better spacer

heat + hammer = clearance.

I had one of the first lot of Invidia systems Troy brought in back in 2012 (the later ones are supposed to be better). Having the STi knuckle was supposed to be the fix for clearance, but my car already had that knuckle and there were still clearance issues. Since the dump pipe was slightly reshaped it has been fine.

Try the spacer,
not hard to make and easy to fit

5/6mm still leaves plenty for the nut to tighten onto
