Hi All,

We are pleased to be on board as an OzFoz vendor. A first for Hakon Suspension but not a first for myself and its good to be back. I am going to try and answer as many of the more common questions in this introduction as i can but if i miss anything feel free to yell out.

What is Hakon?

Hakon (pronounced Har-kon) as a company specializes is suspension products, the core of our range being adjustable control arms and adjustable coilover damper units. At a store level Hakon, whilst still specializing in suspension can cater for all automotive needs from light mechanical/servicing and wheel alignments to Motorsport preparation and on track support.

Our new store is now open at:

15 Fleet St
Somerton VIC

Who is Hakon?

My name is Reade, i am the owner of Hakon Suspension. I have a long history in suspension with a previous business and wanted to be more involved and have more control of the product design and quality i was selling which is how Hakon came about. ( also Hello to all the Ozfoz members i have met before! )

What is the product like?

Our current range of Hakon product is suited to the car enthusiast market, Our coilovers are very street friendly and are more than capable of performing at track days in their 'out of the box' setup. We do have some premium motorsport products coming towards the end of the year - Stay Tuned.

We do manufacture in China to keep costs down, however integral components such as bearings and seals are sourced from japan and lubricants are sourced from Germany, the manufacturing facilities carry ISO 9001 Certification - Quality management. All of our products carry are standard 12 month warranty for manufacturing defects.

Is it tested/proven?

Yes it is, before any of out kits are released there is thorough testing on not only component strength and longevity but also real world performance.

Before we hard launched the Hakon brand we sponsored a 3 pro drift cars in New Zealand which includes the D1NZ guest GT86 driven by world champs Ryan Teurk and Diago Saito, and also 2 pro drift cars in Australia, firstly there is always a misconception that drift cars require super firm suspension to get them to slide which is true for the under powered cars but at a pro level it is quite different - at a pro level 500hp+ they are chasing maximum grip and smooth weight transition so it was perfect to test our product - if anyone could break it the drifters could, a year later and the original sets are still running in all of the cars without issue.

Here are some clips of the cars
