Hey all,

I have been chasing this issue for a while now in my 04 Forester xt and only now getting back into it as I now have a clutch (waiting for it to arrive)

What is happening is when i am driving normal or WOT between 2k and 3k rpm there is a stumble/hesitation where the revs will not be stable but either side of these rev ranges it is fine and stable.. The A/C isn't working due to this issue.

I have a feeling that it would be a cam position sensor that starting to fail.

RomRaider logs are showing that the left bank is more than 2 degrees (not sure if I should be worried). But in live readouts it shows that one of the banks is constantly changing more than the other..

Timing is all good but i will double check that if need be i will redo it. AVCS is still active and i have pulled the OCVS out and soaked both and cleaned them out.

anyone got ideas?

any ideas would help alot as I am no pulling hair out due to this issue.

Reads like an intake air leak.
If you have an OEM intake, they split under the clamp to the turbo.
Will need aftermarket replacement to fix.

Thats what I thought too but there is no crack in the y pipe.. Its just one cam is advancing or retarding more than the other

I meant the silicon intake that feeds air into the turbo from the airbox ;)

How many Kms on the AFM in the intake. Bad or dirty AFMs can cause it. They are suspect after 120Kms.
