Been really happy with your tune, Matt, but I do have a few questions though. I'm not critical with these little things but I'd like to know more about the tune and raise these points in case they are bugs that you might have overlooked. Apologies in advance for the long post.

1. Engine Braking
I brought this up with you before but thought I'd ask here just to clarify further. Does anyone have the fuel consumption figure on factory tune while going down hill on first gear with zero throttle?

Mine is around 20L/100km after the tune, which I'm pretty sure is a lot higher than factory off my memory. I understand that travelling on first gear won't get you good economy but also understand that ECU completely leans out to aid engine braking.

2. Idling
I don't clutch coast but I do notice this abnormally from factory tune when I'm about to park my car. The engine idles slightly above 1000 RPM when the clutch is fully engaged in first gear. I'm definitely sure the engine idles at the standard 800 RPM on factory tune.

3. Idle shudder
The tune has eliminated the slight shudder on factory tune. However, it has starting to show up again recently, albeit less obvious and less frequent.

4. Fuel economy
I've achieved an average of 10.6L/100km on Shell V-Power since I had the car for four years and 50,000km. Fuel economy spiked up to 11.4L/100km due to road dyno and has since gone back down to 10.6. It has however stayed there since, I was expecting around 1 or 2L/100km improvement but never happened. Do I need to reset the consumption average?

Before the tune, I was away overseas for 1 week and 2 weeks respectively so I left the tank with minimal petrol (Fuel warning light was on) as I understand fuel goes off after a while. Pumped fresh petrol before the tune but not sure if the fresh fuel was contaminated and affected the tune.

Why do you care about engine braking fuel consumption?

Like I mentioned before, I'm not stressing over these little things, just noticed the differences compared to factory tune so I thought I'd bring it up. I know Matt constantly improves his tune so I'm just giving some feedback

Who the hell has engine braking figures going down hill in first gear?
How steep is the hill?
So much wut.

It's an underground carpark. SH9 has a built-in fuel consumption gauge, you just need a glance to find out

id be more concerned with engine breaking than engine braking.

Question.

Is your fuel consumption readout in L/100km, or km/L ....;)

Also you mention an idle shudder and high idle.
I suspect you have an intake air leak somewhere, or possible AVCS solenoid issues (very common)

depending on your driving style, economy will fluctuate. you don;t get more power without more fuel, and if you do have an intake leak, then you're going to be screwing up your fuel trims anyway.

I suggest a thorough going over the intake and exhaust piping for leaks
throw a full tank of BP Ultimate into it,
reset your "trip" economy and give is a few hundred km of normal driving to settle down.

I always notice my first tank after a tune has horrible economy. as I end up "enjoying" the added power and rev-ability of the engine.

Thanks Rob.

Readout is in L/100km but in my case, it's more or less the same in km/L

Actually, I omitted a vital information in my original post. I doesn't just idles above 1000 RPM, it only stays there for a few seconds before settling back at 800 RPM slowly. Does this still point to intake leak or AVCS solenoid?

My driving style has been the same...except, for the first tank after tune too
How do you reset the trip economy?

Are you simply having fun with pun? Or a serious concern of engine breaking, ie. intake leak, or AVCS solenoid issues
