Yes plugs are new & gapped.
I will need to find a way to check the fuel pressure when driving. I haven't replaced the fuel filter so will give that a shot too.

I'm still trying to source this issue.
Being that I don't get much time in the garage anymore since having a baby, I've only gotten back into trying to resolve this problem. I've replaced the fuel filter since my last post.

Last week I found a tiny boost leak in a t-piece when I moved the lines which I fixed & made it drive better but still not 100%. Today I put the stock airbox back on, removed the bleed valve & connected up the stock boost solenoid. This seemed to improve the issue slightly but it was still apparent when going up a hill with slight load (still in negative intake pressure).

Being that it still surging slightly, I reverted it back to the bleed valve on 12psi which made the surging seem slightly worse. Does having the stock boost solenoid blocked affect anything ECU wise with timing etc? Is there an easy way to see what the issue could be with the Torque app & ODBII connector or any other testing anyone could recommend?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :drinks:

I had something similar but quite noticeable and it took me forever to find.
Turned out to be a flaky coilpack, it had been dropped at some stage (corner was chipped off) but the service centre never told me.

Mine might be related to flakey coil/connector as Waali had mentioned.

The issue had been getting worse over the last week until it actually started to fire on only 3 cylinders. Went though the troubleshooting steps by disconnecting each coil pack to determine which cylinder wasn't firing & I found that 1 of the clips for the coil pack connectors had been broken off. Seems like it's had a poor connection which would explain the intermittent issue until it finally worked itself off.

I've reconnected it but as it doesn't click on it's still not 100%. I've ordered new coil pack connectors which I'll cut & shut next week. Am getting new coils this week also.

Will update this as when the new bits are fitted.

Ahh good luck with your coils QikGT.

I think mine might be a slight vacuum leak, i will rip off the intake manifold over the weekend and have a better look. I might have torn something when i did the turbo and up pipe swap. I also have a small exhaust leak on my flexi joint on the dump but i don't think that will affect the idle. Although i did have to replace my o2 and knock sensors and car was running extremely rich so maybe i fould a plug. Ill check them out also while the intake manifold is off.

Anyone know if you can reuse the same gasket if i remove the intake manifold carefully?

If the intake manifold is off, I'd be replacing the gaskets & as many hoses that are accessible that are normally hidden/tough to get to.

If you're going to the trouble of removing the intake manifold (it's a fairly big job), I'd be doing the job properly by replacing as many hoses as possible. That's one thing I regret not doing after doing my engine swap & having the intake manifold off...

Good luck!

100% no, it'll tear.

I'm wanting to know if I have a bleed valve connected, should the stock solenoid vac lines just be blocked? Currently both vac lines to the solenoid are blocked with the electrical connector still connected.

ps Waali, it wasn't the coils...
