I am having the same issue with my '00 GT also.

Car appears fine on idle and when cruising on vacuum or when on WOT. It seems to hesitate/ miss when going from vacuum to slight boost (not rpm related from what I can tell). The strange thing is, if I push throttle slightly further, it stops hesitating/ missing and pulls fine all the way into the higher rev range.
Fuel consumption has also increased (350kms max to a tank).

Not throwing cel. O2 sensor has been changed, fuel has changed also. What are the next most obvious causes for this with these things?

I Say: Fast, cheap or reliable. Pick any 2.

I'm still battling with this issue.

I've replaced the intake to a PSR silicone one (stock one was still ok) & replaced/tidied up all of the vac lines which were hard as plastic (eliminated t-pieces for stock boost solenoid etc).

Is there anything else that comes to mind?

I connected a bluetooth OBDII adaptor & using the Torque app on my phone to see if anything strange was happening.

There are no faults registered & the AFR's when the surging is happening all look good (14-15:1). Am kinda baffled as to what to be checking/replacing.

Please help!

Got any dyno places close by?
You could maybe sweet talk someone into evening out your tune, so smoothing it out. I did it on mine at our local tuner
$100 and just leave car there, its no dyno run but they just throw it on quickly and smooth your map.

Yeah there's plenty of dyno options here on the GC. Have had previous cars done by Matt Spry @ PITS.
Apparently he's gone a bit weird lately so I will phone around a few other places.

This was happening before any mods started so I doubt a re-tune will fix anything.

Yeah I noticed mine really bad when under load on the way to the coast.
Getting a tune at the end of the week, I was told it could be to do with the Factory BOV since I run 20psi ;)

Yeah I doubt the stock spring in the BOV would hold that boost!

I blocked all the vacuum lines where the EVAP solenoid is to see if there were any air leaks in there - surging/hesitation is still there...am tempted to set the thing on fire

Have ordered y-pipe & TB coupler from the group buy, I doubt that'll fix the problem but at least it's a couple more parts replaced...

A lot of us go through the same pain, it just slowly eats away at you while you pretend that it's really not that bad. Then you want to sell it or burn it but it will always niggle you that you couldn't fix it.

Took me 2 years to find my problems, was a combination of a few things in the end. Biggest difference for me was plugs and fuel pump. Did you replace with stock plugs gapped right? It took me so long to fix as plugs had been replaced recently before I purchased the car so I still kept telling myself they must be fine.

You just have to work your way through all options and then once you find it you will fall in love again. Been 2 years of perfect running since I had that sorted. Good luck, you will get there
