Im needing to replace the shockers in my daily foz, very soft now and the rear is sagging a little. I cant justify anything elaborate just looking for something on the cheaper side. The car has got some braces and front rear swaybars only. What are the thoughts on KYB or PEDDERS pricewise?
I am considering lowering the car also while its apart, what is the norm to lower on 17 inch rims and still be legal?
I'm looking around for prices now, what should I expect to pay for parts only and parts plus fitting?
any input will be wild
cheers

Kyb struts and king lowered springs looks to be a decent package. 900ish on ebay. Bc coilovers seem to be just a little more and many people like them.

You can get Tein street basis coilovers for not much more than the ebay KYB and Kings combo. I've been rocking them on my car for a while now and really like them.

I still have my 03 wrx wagon shocks with kings lows you were long ago interested in, also have a spare half-width pallet and roll of pallet wrap. PM me an address if you want me to get a shipping quote.

Firstly, your car won't sag because of the dampers ... it will be the springs that have sagged (quite common in Foresters).

Do NOT, repeat, not, get cheap coilovers: they are throw away items! Good coilovers (like the BCs mentioned, and others) can be rebuilt, amd have good springs rates matched to good damper valving.

As Clint mentioned, KYB + Kings is a reliable option. Like the Tein Street Basis, I've got Tein Street Advance in my 07 Impreza, and they've been good too.
