205/50 - just wondering if there a reason for going so narrow?

Cheers mate, Just need to spray the rear calipers now.
The struts and springs have settled nicely and still feels very tight.

No reason other than the tyres came with the rims and still had 90% tread.
So to save a little cash, I've kept them for a bit and let them wear.
Will be getting standard foz sized rubber after the turbo and tune is done.

Getting a little excited.
Install of VF52, mishimoto top mount, PSR Silicon inlet, Cobb CAI, hyperflow downpipe, invida uppipe, Walbro 255 fuel pump and grimspeed 3-port is going in next Tuesday along with a tune to keep it all happy.
Looking forward to this is an understatement!

Should be pretty epic.

Do you have a stock or aftermarket mid-pipe after the larger dump pipe?

Looking forward to seeing the results! Who's tuning it and what sort of power are you expecting?

Just have the standard midpipe then the Ultrex diffbacks.
I am tempted to replace the midpipe, but I enjoy just a little bit of rumble not an overpowering amount of noise.
Will see how it goes, I may still get it done.

Teylormade in Oak Flats (just south of Wollongong)
As for power, I think 180kw should be made easily. Will be happy with that but if it gets some more, then great.
The bum dyno will be the main test though.

I have similar taste in terms of noise.

I ended up getting a custom mild steel midpipe (2.5" diameter i think) with two louvred resonators:-

(Also, two tri-flow / S-bend mufflers rather than straight-through mufflers).

Acceptable sound is a subjective thing of course. I like the "quiet rumble" but my wife thinks its still too boomy in the cabin.

The good news is that the further back from the turbo you go, the less critical the gas flow becomes for performance. Eg your large dump pipe is bringing the most performance benefit of any part of the post-turbo exhaust system.
