So no TH :dontknow:

The dyno that Matt uses here in Sydney broke (roller bearing, had to be fitted by mainline to keep warranty) a couple of days before it could be tuned, couldn't be road tuned instead either because it's not registered at the moment! Due to me going away for work and the road trip schedule for Christmas it worked out to be impossible to get Matt to tuned it as i couldn't get the car to the dyno while i'm away for his next trip down to Sydney.

The boys at the rumble shack were happy to take on the task of getting the car tuned while I'm away and I know they will do an awesome job. Can't wait to see the results :D Awesome bunch of blokes, give them a like over on facey to support them https://www.facebook.com/therumbleshack/

Will keep everyone posted with how it goes

I would like to revise my dyno power guess then. 360-370whp.

Well got the car back and it made 236kw on a conservative tune, only running 19-20psi, was going to be set to 23psi but the car started knocking so it was wound back down. The boys at the shack reckon the rear genome (only 2.2" diametre) muffler is a restriction as well as the inlet pipe being crushed against in the power steering pump. Will fix these issues over Christmas and head back for a touch up!!

Car needs brakes asap

Also the hill holder isn't adjusted right and replacing the drivers window motor tomorrow!

Is the genome exhaust off an impreza?

If so I took one apart once, where the pipe goes into the muffler it was actually 1.5 inch.

Yeah measured the internal diametre and it was 2.2", it has a taper from a 3" to 2.5" welded before the muffler. Will be taking it off next year for something a bit more free flowing. Either way it's good enough for 240ish kw

Also replaced the window motor and switches, can finally wind the window up to wash 7 months of dirt off it!

The window tint was looking average too, had a blue tinge to it so I ripped all that off to make it look clean again, will be slapping some tint on there next year

Picked up some 06 XT wheels too as i've run out of time to strip and paint the current 03-04 XT wheels

Will take some more photos tomorrow night after i give her a scrub

Update:

Currently on my road trip from Sydney to Hobart and back via Melbourne, car is sort of running well but has a lot more potential in different areas (drivability).... The car bucks and stalls when slowing up to traffic lights and even on full lock turns sometimes. Group N mounts will hopefully sort some of the bucking out but the stalling is something else.

Back when I was in Hobart the car started back firing/popping on light acceleration, so i swung by Dan from Flat 4 Shifting (cripps on Ozfoz) to try and diagnose what was up. We plugged the tactrix in and checked for codes etc no issues there, but the tune on the other hand im not impressed by.... We then swapped out the coils to check if they were the issue but no changes. We then swapped out the spark plugs with some new NGK's and the issue went away! Might of had a dodgy plug that was slowly on its way out :dontknow:

In the future i'll be pulling all the rubber bushings out and replacing it all with whiteline gear, there's just too much slop in all the bushings for my liking.

Wanting to also get full control of the DCCD box, so leaning towards the DCCD pro controller but would like to hear some feedback from what you guys are running

Next upgrade for the car is Group N engine mounts, build a topmount splitter, 4 pot front brakes, STI struts and STi pink springs and swaybars

Will keep everyone know how the car goes after we finish the road trip,
Happy New Year!
