Hi folks,

Thought that I may as well introduce my car here and let you know a bit about me and my plans for it!
I had originally been set on buying a WRX of some kind, however was always fond of the Foresters of all shapes and sizes! My partner on the other hand has always loved the foresters for the "soccer mum" appeal.
I had always owned Alfa Romeo's in the past, I learnt to drive in a ’74 Alfetta, saved up and bought myself a ’82 GTV for my P plate years. Anyway I bought my first Subaru about 5 years ago now a 2008 Impreza RS hatchback. I was hooked! It was a fantastic car and I loved every minute of owning and driving it. So I made the very sensible choice to buy the Forester and sell the Impreza before it hit 100k kms.

So on to the Foz, after months of looking and looking I found the one! I picked it up in Port Macquarie in November last year and have absolutely loved it since the moment I saw it: 70,000kms, leather, massive sunroof, sat nav (which is not much of a great feature tbh), 5sp manual.
Bought it on the spot and drove it back to Canberra via Newcastle that weekend.

I was never really set on what I wanted to do with the car however I knew some handling and cosmetic mods were on the cards with a few minor power mods later on.

So far the mods I have done are:
Blacked out the chrome grille
Hella Horns cos +10kW
New DBA Front Rotors and pads
Rear pads
22mm Whiteline RSB
Invidia Q300 CBE with quad tips

Future plans:
Coilovers (thinking MCA X-C)
Dump pipe
CAI
BOV
Tune
Sports Mesh Grille
Wheels/tyres

Thats it for now, somehow I know this mods list is going to blow out of proportion as a lot of others do! Any advice or opinions on where to buy things is always appreciated :)

Very nice and welcome. Can I ask how you find the noise level on the Q300?

Thanks Clay, the Q300 has really surprised me! I just have the catback system at the moment so nice rumble and its loud when you are accelerating hard. However its virtually the same as the stock exhaust when cruising along the highways or just pottering around the streets. I mean you know that its there you can hear it when doing above 80km/hr but its not intrusive. I think if you added some more sound deadening in the spare wheel well you would forget it was there!

Sweet ride,

Im almost 100% sure I've seen it around a couple of times in canberra.

Did you do the grille yourself? I cannot stand the chrome grille and door handles on mine. Literally makes me mad every time I look at it.

PS if you still have and want to sell those roofracks. Let me know! haha

Thanks man! Yeah did the grille one night, couldn't stand having chrome either. I think i used about 5 coats of plastidip. Its taken a beating though with all the bugs around in the heat at the moment. On the hunt for a mesh grille or a spare one that I can properly colour match. Door handles I dont mind but they could be a bother later on.

Still got the roof racks, not sure if I want to part with them yet but I havent used them yet. Shoot me an offer if you like and it might sway me. I seem to have a habit of buying cars with roof racks. Still got some from the Impreza too!
